Briggs Library welcomes requests from instructors or groups to process both electronic and print materials for short term loans or digital formats.

Ask a Librarian offers research and information services for students, staff, faculty and community members.

Students, faculty, and staff must use their U-Cards to check out library materials. Community residents may obtain a Briggs Library community card by completing a registration form at the circulation desk.

Materials are checked out at the circulation desk on the main floor of the library. At this service point, materials can also be renewed and returned.

Before a work can be used in a educational setting an understanding of copyright and fair use law is important.

Search for both print and electronic materials by entering either the course number, course name or instructor's last name. Ask instructor or library staff for password information.

To ensure success at the University of Minnesota, Morris and beyond, students need to be able to thrive in an information intensive environment. 

Information Literacy and other instruction sessions are offered to all classes, including Writing for the Liberal Arts, Intellectual Community and research methods classes.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a resource sharing service available to all faculty, students, and staff affiliated with the University of Minnesota, Morris as well as members of the Rodney A. Briggs Library Associates. An item that Briggs Library does not own or is temporarily unavailable can be requested from another library.

The library provides off-campus access to electronic resources for Morris students, faculty, and staff, when licensing permits. Enter your campus ID and password at the login prompt.

Print your documents at Briggs Library by using Cash Printing, PaperCut Printing or Color Printing. Use Web Printing to print from your personal device.

UMM faculty and staff are invited to utilize the proxy card system to enable students, colleagues or family members to check out materials in their name.

Renewal Request Form

Community borrowers should use this form to request the renewal of materials checked out from Briggs Library.

All library users who are affiliated with the University of Minnesota and are issued U-Cards may renew their library materials by logging onto My Library Account. Community borrowers may renew by contacting the library.

Flat bed scanners are available for use.
