Briggs Hours and Services During Online Instruction Days
Briggs Library will be closed until further notice. Librarians are available via Ask A Librarian to answer questions remotely.
The library will continue to offer a variety of services during the online instruction period.
- Course Reserve with its eReserve component, can help facilitate online access to class resources.
- Ask A Librarian reference services will be available to answer questions, remotely (chat, text, email, Zoom/Hangouts, phone). Starting March 23rd, Chat service will be open Monday-Thursday, 10am-6pm and Friday 10am-4pm.
Interlibrary Loan Services & Get It
Interlibrary loan services for physical items have been suspended, including "Get It" items from UMN system campuses. Contact the library with questions about specific situations.
Loan Policy and Fines
Effective March 13th, 2020 all loans will be automatically renewed until normal operations resume. Contact the library with questions.
Information Literacy Instruction Support
Librarians are willing to meet with information literacy and research classes via Zoom. Contact Peter Bremer for more information.
Briggs Library has a host of materials that can be accessed remotely. eBooks can be discovered through the Briggs Library Pounce catalog or searched directly through Ebook Central. Streaming videos are available through the databases Academic Video Online and Docuseek2.
